The Diffused Diocesan Museum of Naples

The Mission
The Diffused Diocesan Museum of Naples

The mission

The mission of the Diffused Diocesan Museum is to give back to the city its artistic-religious heritage, creating job opportunities for young people. In this perspective, places of worship become spaces of participation for the entire community, where culture, spirituality and social development can meet.

«MUDD represents a deep and participatory vision of the city, an opportunity to reawaken in Neapolitans, and particularly in young people, the connection with their cultural and spiritual roots».

The Youth of the Diffused Diocesan Museum of Naples
The culture of the Diffused Diocesan Museum of Naples

Our culture

The management model of MUDD – Diffused Diocesan Museum is based on the culture of gratuitousness and on involving the community in a common goal: promoting or encouraging youth employment through the recovery of cultural heritage.

The Culture of Giving

The Objectives

The Culture of Giving

The management model of MUDD - Diffused Diocesan Museum, promotes gratuitousness and the culture of giving. The cultural and social project undertaken by the Naples C'entro Foundation aims to involve the entire community, as it brings visitors closer to the works by inviting them to donate and share, and prepares young people to become guardians and promoters of Naples' cultural and identity heritage.

Rebuilding community relationships

Thanks to the collaboration between the Church and the Third Sector, with the support of public and private institutions, MUDD becomes a possible challenge, which aims to make Naples' artistic and religious heritage an engine for growth.

Through a management method tested in the Rione Sanità district, the enhancement of cultural heritage is the starting point of a series of virtuous mechanisms that lead to:

  • Listening to the social realities of the territory
  • Educating to beauty
  • Becoming ambassadors of a new vision
  • Strengthening the sense of belonging to the city
  • Generating a positive economic and social impact

Help us transform cultural and religious heritage into opportunities for young people.
